AESA Prep Academy of Barcelona is seeking a full-time Mathematics Teacher to join our team immediately.
This is an
on-campus position in Barcelona, Monday through Friday, 9:00–16:00.
Candidates must:
Be
fluent in English.
Currently reside in the Barcelona metropolitan area.
Have
legal authorization to work in Spain.
Be available to
start immediately.
Have previous teaching experience.
We are ideally looking for a teacher comfortable teaching across the high school mathematics curriculum, from
Algebra I through Calculus.
However, excellent teachers who can confidently teach through Precalculus are also encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do
As a Mathematics Teacher at AESA, you will teach and support high school students across our
in-person program at AESA Prep Academy of Barcelona
and through
AESA Prep International.
In-Person Teaching
Teach mathematics face-to-face in small high school classes.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the American high school mathematics curriculum.
Prepare course materials, assignments, activities, and assessments.
Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Adapt instruction to meet the needs of students with different abilities and learning styles.
Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and other required academic records.
Communicate with parents, Student Support, and school leadership regarding student progress when appropriate.
Teacher-of-Record Responsibilities
Serve as the teacher of record for assigned mathematics courses through AESA Prep International.
Monitor student progress and engagement in assigned courses.
Grade assignments and assessments and provide meaningful, individualized feedback.
Respond to student questions and provide academic support when needed.
