Position: Assistant Accountant Intern (Internship)

The South VIC based firm company is committed to delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term relationships with our clients. It is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant Intern to join its team for a 3-month internship.

Position Overview:

As an Assistant Accountant Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the accounting and finance field within the real estate industry. You will work closely with their accounting team to support the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This internship will provide you with valuable skills and knowledge that will help you jumpstart your career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and preparing payments




- Help with month-end and year-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Conduct research and analysis to support accounting projects and initiatives
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on process improvements
- Use of MYOB software
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager

Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
