Robert HalfTalent Solutions is currently looking for an Accounting Manager (m/f/x) for a permanent position based in Brussels.

Our client is a fast growing company active in the government consulting sector.

As Accounting Manager (m/f/x) you will be responsible for:

Leadership & Governance

- Manage the accounting team
- Mentor team members to better address client expectations, project challenges, Management requirements and Company expectations.
- Set annual objectives for team members in collaboration with the HR specialist and with the approval of the Finance Director regarding professional achievements and personal development.
- Manage, plan and approve holiday and other leave requests.
- Foster a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Reports to the Finance Director and act as key contact for Group Finance, auditors, and tax advisors

Accounting Operations & Controls

- Set and monitor the quality of the accounting services in terms of accuracy, timeliness, and completeness according to company requirement and business needs.
- A to Z accounting according to both Group GAAP and the Belgian GAAP.
- Collect, import, book all accounting documents in the financial controlling system (responsible for OCR & E-invoicing, bank statement, credit card import…) from Operations, Services and Business Development departments
- Prepare/supervise payments for e.g., suppliers, partners, staff, etc.
- Ensure proper implementation and maintenance of internal control systems

Financial Closing & Reporting

- Assist in quarterly/monthly closure and reporting.
- Coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes (local GAAP and Group reporting)




- Ensure reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts with adequate supporting documentation

Tax & Statutory Compliance

- Prepare/supervise VAT duties (monthly, quarterly, yearly and exceptional matters)
- Collect the data, prepare and submit annual “Fiches 281.50”
- Ensure compliance with all local tax, statutory and regulatory requirements (corporate tax, VAT, withholding taxes, etc.)

General Accounting & Transactions

- Control the AP and AR transactions
- Control the General ledger transactions
- Operate Group Consolidation duties and intercompany reconciliations
- Prepare purchase orders and contracts for overheads expenses /suppliers.
- Manage payroll accounting uploads and reconciliations

Audit & Compliance

- Assist in audits and business development references
- Collect requested information (invoice, bank statement, supporting documents, etc.)
- Lead external audits, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables

Business Support & Organisation

- Support the Operations and Services departments by providing any accounting information related to projects.
- Works in close relation with the Controllers team.
- Quality, Safety and Environmental System. As a staff member and as a Line Manager guide your team in all aspects related to the implementation of the quality, safety and environmental policies and actions.

The required profile for the Accounting Manager (m/f/x) position:

- 5 years’ experience as Chief Accountant in an international environment
- Ability to manage a team
- Fluent in French and English
- Strong knowledge of Belgian GAAP and IFRS / German GAAP
- Proven experience with ERP systems
