For a leading international player within the food and supply chain sector, we are currently looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to join their site in Boom, Belgium.
You will join a dynamic and professional production and logistics environment where quality, efficiency, teamwork and, above all, safety are key.
Your role as Logistics Manager ??
As Logistics Manager, you will work alongside fellow team leaders and take responsibility for the management of approximately 40 warehouse employees within the expedition department.
You will ensure that daily logistics operations run safely, efficiently and correctly, while acting as an important point of contact for your team on the warehouse floor.
Concretely, this means:
? People Management & Team Leadership
- Lead, coach and motivate a team of approximately 40 warehouse employees
- Ensure an efficient allocation and deployment of employees
- Conduct performance reviews and follow up on employee development
- Create and manage the staff planning
- Participate in team leader and team board meetings
- Build a positive, engaged and safe working environment
? Logistics & Operational Responsibility
- Ensure the correct execution of processes within the expedition department
- Monitor the daily operational flow
- Ensure activities are carried out efficiently and according to the required standards
- Set priorities and react quickly to unexpected situations
- Take responsibility for workplace safety
- Actively promote a strong safety culture within the team
? Continuous Improvement
- Identify and initiate improvements on the warehouse floor
- Contribute to more efficient working methods and logistics processes
- Support the achievement of the department's operational objectives
- Develop creative and practical solutions to daily operational challenges
Your profile ✅
- Minimum secondary ASO/TSO diploma or equivalent through experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Logistics Team Leader or in a comparable leadership position
- Very good command of Dutch
- Good technical understanding and basic computer skills
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Well-organised with the ability to set priorities effectively
- Stress-resistant, adaptable and solution-oriented
- Hands-on mentality and comfortable being present on the warehouse floor
- Willing to work early and late shifts, as well as weekends
- Safety is always your number one priority ?
