Key Responsibilities

In this hands-on position, you will report to the Group Lead and serve as a core analytical expert within the laboratory. Your primary duties include:

- Analytical execution: independently performing GC analyses on a wide variety of samples and matrices.
- Laboratory operations: executing sample preparation (such as solid-phase extraction, liquid extraction, and derivatization), instrument operation, data acquisition, and data processing with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
- Workflow & instrument management: organizing daily laboratory activities, efficiently managing instrument time, and maintaining workload balance.
- Data evaluation: critically evaluating analytical data and proactively identifying abnormalities that require further investigation.
- Documentation: documenting experiments and preparing technical reports in English according to company standards.
- Method & troubleshooting support: supporting method implementation, optimization,



and development alongside scientists, as well as troubleshooting instrument issues to ensure reliable platform operation.
- Knowledge sharing: mentoring and supporting colleagues in the successful execution of analytical work.

Candidate profile & requirements

We are looking for a practical, detail-oriented professional who excels under pressure and enjoys chromatographic separations:

- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Gas Chromatography (GC), with a strong practical understanding of GC systems.
- Technical skills: experience with GC-FID, GC-MS, or related detection techniques, as well as sample preparation techniques (SPE, liquid extraction, derivatization).
- Mindset: a critical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and adherence to good documentation practices.
- Soft skills: highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently while remaining a strong team player.
- Communication: clear communication skills with the ability to write technical reports in English.
- Resilience: ability to remain calm and analytical when deadlines are tight, instruments need troubleshooting, or results are unexpected.
