As a Junior Windows System Engineer, you will help maintain and support Windows-based infrastructures and Microsoft 365 environments for our customers. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will gradually develop your technical expertise while providing high-quality support.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-line support for Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and end-user devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues, escalating complex incidents when necessary.
- Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Prepare and deploy Windows devices using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows workstations and basic Windows Server environments.
- Perform software deployments, Windows updates, and driver management.
- Monitor infrastructure alerts and assist with incident resolution.
- Provision and maintain virtual machines following established procedures.
- Document incidents, solutions, and technical procedures in the ITSM platform.
- Work closely with senior system engineers and contribute to continuous service improvement.
How do you qualify for this position ?
- Passionate about Microsoft technologies and eager to learn.
- Good communication skills in English and Dutch and/or French.
- Customer-oriented with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.
- Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
- Basic understanding of Active Directory and user administration.
- Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Basic knowledge of remote support tools.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
- Basic experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Familiarity with Windows Server administration.
- Experience with VMware or Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira…).
- Basic PowerShell knowledge.
- Microsoft certifications (MS-900, AZ-900, CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation) are considered an asset.
- Knowledge of generative AI tools and prompting techniques, or willingness to develop expertise in leveraging AI for software development and IT operations.
