Are you a journalist with a special interest in the travel and tourism industry?

Travel Tomorrow is looking for a News Editor to join its Brussels-based editorial team on a permanent contract.

About Travel Tomorrow

Travel Tomorrow is a general media outlet reporting on the travel and tourism industry. It is a flagship brand of Buscardini Communications, a Brussels-based communications agency.

About the role

As News Editor, you will play a central role in Travel Tomorrow’s daily editorial operations. Your responsibilities will include:

- Writing and publishing breaking news stories, interviews and in-depth feature articles;
- Identifying relevant stories and developments across the travel and tourism industry;
- Conducting interviews with business leaders, policymakers, industry representatives and experts;
- Editing and proofreading articles produced by other members of the editorial team;
- Ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance with Travel Tomorrow’s editorial standards;
- Researching stories and fact-checking information and data;
- Monitoring developments from DMOs, EU institutions, transport and aviation organisations, hospitality groups and other relevant sources;
- Contributing ideas for original stories, interviews and features;
- Supporting the planning and coordination of the daily editorial agenda;
- Contributing to Travel Tomorrow’s newsletters and social media content when required.

Person specification

We are looking for someone who combines strong journalistic skills with curiosity, sound news judgement and an international outlook.

The successful candidate should have:





- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. French would be a strong asset;
- At least three years of professional experience in journalism or a closely related editorial role;
- A relevant degree in journalism, communications, political science, international relations or a related field;
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading and fact-checking skills;
- The ability to identify newsworthy angles and provide context and perspective;
- The ability to deliver accurate, engaging stories in a fast-paced environment and work to deadlines;
- An interest in travel, tourism, aviation, transport, hospitality, sustainability and European affairs;
- Political and cultural sensitivity;
- Strong attention to detail;
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a small and dynamic team.

Experience with WordPress, newsletters and digital publishing tools would be an asset.
