Credit Risk Analyst

Location: Antwerp

Reporting to: OtC Manager

About the Opportunity

Our client is a leading international organization operating across multiple countries within the distribution and industrial solutions sector. With a strong presence throughout EMEA, the business is investing heavily in process excellence, automation, and finance transformation initiatives.

As part of this journey, the organization is looking to strengthen its Credit & Risk function by hiring an EMEA Credit Risk Analyst.

This is a highly visible role combining credit risk oversight, collections leadership, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement initiatives across a complex international environment.

This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in protecting cash flow, optimizing working capital, and shaping the future of Credit Management across the region.

The Role

As EMEA Credit Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for driving effective credit governance and supporting the organization's financial stability through proactive risk management, collections performance, and process optimization.

You will act as a trusted business partner to Finance, Sales, Legal, and local Credit teams, balancing strategic initiatives with operational execution to ensure healthy customer portfolios and strong cash collection performance.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Risk Management

- Provide expertise and guidance to local Credit and Finance teams
- Ensure consistent application of credit policies and governance standards
- Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers across the EMEA region
- Monitor customer exposure and identify potential credit risks
- Review and manage credit limits and approval workflows
- Support order release and order-blocking decisions based on risk assessments

Collections & Receivables Management

- Drive initiatives to reduce overdue balances and improve collection performance
- Define and monitor collection priorities, KPIs,



and recovery strategies
- Support teams with escalations, complex collection cases, and dispute resolution
- Coordinate with commercial and legal stakeholders to mitigate payment risks
- Facilitate regular reviews of ageing reports, exposure levels, and collection results
- Contribute to internal and external audit activities where required

Process Improvement & Transformation

- Strengthen and optimize credit control and receivables processes
- Promote standardization and best practices across countries and entities
- Support digitalization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in ERP and Order-to-Cash enhancement projects
- Contribute to integration and process alignment activities linked to acquisitions and business transformation
- Deliver training and support adoption of new tools, systems, and processes

Reporting & Governance

- Prepare and analyse reporting on credit risk exposure, ageing, collections, and performance trends
- Provide management with clear visibility on key risks and collection developments
- Support governance frameworks, controls, and compliance requirements
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory obligations

Your Profile

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline

Experience

You bring several years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Credit Management
- Credit Control
- Collections
- Accounts Receivable
- Risk Management

Technical Expertise

Required

- Credit risk assessment and analysis




- Collections and overdue management
- Strong Accounts Receivable knowledge
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Credit policy application
- Advanced Excel skills

Preferred

- Experience with ERP systems
- Reporting and dashboarding tools
- Exposure to automation, workflow, or process improvement initiatives
