This role is pivotal in identifying high-value business opportunities and pre-assessing their feasibility and size to build robust business cases.The successful candidate will serve as a Pharma Manufacturing Domain Expert interviewing stakeholders, understanding cross-system business processes, designing improvement opportunities, documenting detailed EPICS, User Stories and help delivering them with the project team. This is a highly collaborative role that requires balancing the needs of business stakeholders with the capabilities of technical teams.General InformationLocation / Timezone: CET or NALA time zone (must be available during 3–7 PM CET “golden hours” for collaboration between EU and US teams)Work model: Remote or hybrid; no regular travel is expectedKey ResponsibilitiesInterview business stakeholders, partner system responsible and domain leads to identify business opportunities and pre-assess their value, size and dependency to support business case creationDesign and document business process flow and user stories related to Emerson PKM (core application), integrations across MES, LIMS, ERP, and PLM systems, and reporting capabilities ensuring GxP compliance and data interoperabilityCreate functional specifications, architecture decision records, and technical documentation for PKM configurations, integration solutions, and reporting requirementsFacilitate alignment between business stakeholders and technical teams,



ensuring shared understanding of business process and data flows, system capabilities and architectural designIdentify relevant Generative AI/ML use cases within the manufacturing context and support their implementationQualificationsMust-HavesBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience5-10 years of experience as Functional Architect and/or Business Analyst/ Consultant in a pharmaceutical or Life Sciences environmentHands‑on understanding in product recipe design and parameter definition in any related manufacturing system (e.g. PLM, MES, LIMS, ERP)Proven experience in system integration projects (DeltaV, SAP S4 HANA, ELN, MES, ERP, LIMS, PLM, or related)Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate business needs into structured functional and non‑functional requirementsExcellent communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional general environmentUnderstanding of manufacturing processes for drug substances and/or drug productsDemonstrated ability to de‑escalate, keep discussions productive, and focus on outcomesAvailability between 3–7 PM CET for overlap with EU and US teamsFluent in English (spoken and written)Good to HaveFamiliarity with ISA-95 / ISA-88 principles and enterprise‑level integration conceptsExperience with SAFe Agile methodologiesPrevious Roche experience or work in similarly complex regulated environmentsStrong grasp of data interoperability, reporting standards, and business process mappingSolid understanding of SQL databases, relational data structures, and reporting systemsNice to HaveProven ability to align architecture and process design across different IT domainsExposure to global or multi‑site manufacturing integration projects
