We're currently supporting a large healthcare business that is looking to add an experienced Data Scientist to its team on an initial 6-month contract.
The role sits directly within a high-performing AI team and will focus on developing early-stage proofs of concept and prototypes across a range of cutting-edge AI initiatives.
You'll be working on projects involving:
Generative AI & LLMsAgentic AI WorkflowsDocument Intelligence & Knowledge ExtractionRAG ApplicationsAdvanced Machine LearningScientific & Research-Focused AI Use Cases




The team is seeing significant demand from stakeholders across the business and needs someone who can quickly turn ideas into working solutions.

What you’ll bring
PhD or strong academic background in a scientific discipline (Biology, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, etc.)Strong Python-based Data Science / Machine Learning experienceCommercial experience with LLMs, GenAI, RAG, or Agentic AIExperience building POCs and prototypesCloud experience (ideally AWS)Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Bonus
Databricks knowledgeAny experience within Pharma, Biotech, Healthcare, or Life Sciences.
