Are you an experienced Lead Product Designer who can guide a team through the work while building trust and alignment with client stakeholders?
DNA.inc is looking for a Lead Product Designer to help shape several key client engagements in the Spanish market.
This is a player-coach role for someone who remains close to the craft, takes responsibility for the effectiveness of the design team and strengthens client relationships. You will spend roughly half your time working in hands-on design, and the other leading a small team while managing client stakeholders, shaping direction, and creating alignment around what the team should solve and why.
About the job
As a Lead Product Designer at DNA.inc, you’ll join a diverse, multi-disciplinary team of designers, working on a variety of long-term challenges with key clients across multiple business domains.
You will be the senior design presence within each engagement. You will help turn complex, sometimes ambiguous business and product challenges into clear design direction, guide the team toward high-quality outcomes, and represent the work confidently with senior client stakeholders.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will stay actively involved in the work by shaping direction, reviewing and improving design, facilitating key decisions, solving difficult product problems, and stepping directly into execution where your contribution will have the greatest impact.
At the same time, you will own and actively manage key client stakeholders. You will build trust, navigate competing priorities, create alignment, and help stakeholders make good decisions.
As a Lead Product Designer at DNA.inc, we expect you to contribute in these key areas:
Lead the team
- Provide clear direction across complex product challenges and help the team move from ambiguity to focused execution.
- Stay close to the craft, contributing directly where your involvement improves the quality or pace of the work.
- Set and maintain a high bar for interaction, visual design, prototyping, and product thinking.
- Give designers clear, useful direction while creating enough space for them to own and develop their work.
- Mentor and develop other designers through active collaboration, feedback, critique, and hands-on problem solving.
- Identify gaps in how the team works and establish patterns, systems, or practices that improve quality and consistency beyond a single deliverable.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering to balance user needs, business goals, technical constraints, and delivery realities.
Lead the work
- Act as a trusted partner to key client stakeholders and independently lead important design conversations.
- Understand the wider business and organizational context behind the brief,
and help stakeholders clarify what really needs to be solved.
- Turn competing priorities, incomplete information, and differing perspectives into a clear path forward.
- Present recommendations with conviction, adapt your communication to different audiences, and make the reasoning behind design decisions easy to understand.
- Navigate pushback, organizational complexity, and stakeholder disagreement while maintaining productive relationships.
- Build confidence in the team and the work through clear communication, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through.
- Identify opportunities beyond the immediate request and help connect design decisions to broader product and business outcomes.
Strengthen the wider engagement
- Help strengthen how design operates across the client account, improving the quality and effectiveness of the wider engagement.
- Work with DNA.inc colleagues across design, product, and engineering to improve the way we deliver together.
- Share patterns, lessons, and approaches that can strengthen DNA.inc’s wider design practice.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable operating at this level of responsibility, and can show strong evidence of doing so in the Spanish market. We expect you to bring:
- An extensive track record designing and shipping complex digital products across web and mobile, with strong hands-on visual, interaction, and product design craft.
- Experience leading a design team while remaining actively involved in the work yourself.
- Evidence of raising the quality and effectiveness of other designers through your leadership and craft.
- Experience independently leading client or senior stakeholder relationships in complex organizations.
- Confidence navigating disagreement, ambiguity, competing priorities, and organizational politics.
- The ability to frame unclear problems, create strategic direction, and bring stakeholders with you.
- Strong product development instincts and a track record of working closely with Product and Engineering through build, launch, and iteration.
- The judgment to know when to step into the detail, when to give direction, and when to let others lead.
- Professional fluency in Spanish.
- Clear, concise, and empathetic written and verbal communication in English.
- Eligibility to work in the European Union without sponsorship or restrictions.
Experience with motion, 3D design,
or products beyond web and mobile is a plus, including platforms such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Smart TV, set-top boxes, wearables, or game consoles.
