At Lace Lithography, we’re scaling up our team and looking for a passionate and sharp talent to join us.
In our company we build chip lithography technology that will enable the next 100 years of chip manufacturing. Founded in 2023, we’re based in Bergen (Norway) and Barcelona (Spain), and backed by some of the world’s most ambitious investors.
What you’ll do:
Develop theoretical models of laser cooling and manipulation of beams of metastable atoms.
Work on general physics problems related to the production of cold intense beams of neutral atoms.
Develop numerical models to validate theoretical models with an emphasis on realistic engineering constraints.
Produce simulation tools to be used by other teams.
Collaborate across teams on theoretical, simulation, and experimental projects.
Produce and maintain high quality documentation and code, as well as review documentation and code written by colleagues.
Mentor junior members of the team
Who you are:
An expert AMO physicist that thrives in a collaborative fast paced environment working on complex, interconnected,



and evolving problems. With your expertise in the art of research you are highly capable of working on problems that may be ill defined or involve subjects that are outside your area of specialization.
Requirements
PhD or equivalent level of experience.
Significant experience with laser cooling and manipulation of atoms.
Direct experience with atom beams or supersonic sources
Significant record of publications or strong thesis
Capable of back of the envelope calculations to assess physics/engineering problems and proposals
