About the opportunityJoin QIAGEN’s Centre of Excellence for Integrated Assays in Barcelona and contribute to advancing the QIAstat-Dx diagnostic platform. In this role, you will lead technical investigations and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and reliability. Working at the interface of microfluidics, materials science, and diagnostics, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and drive impactful product improvements in a regulated ISO 13485 environment.This is an onsite position in our Barcelona office. Your tasks includeLeading technical investigations and continuous improvement projects for the QIAstat-Dx platformDesigning and executing troubleshooting strategies to identify root causes across materials, manufacturing, quality,
and field performanceOptimizing microfluidic workflows and system performance to enhance product robustnessDriving investigations related to customer complaints and implementing corrective actionsContributing to product development and innovation initiatives within integrated diagnostic systemsPartnering with R&D;, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to align on solutions and deliver improvementsEnsuring all activities comply with regulatory and quality standards, including ISO 13485Your profileMaster’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field3–5 years of experience in diagnostics, medical devices, or other regulated industriesHands-on experience in experimental design, data analysis, and root cause investigationExperience to microfluidics, cartridge-based systems, or integrated diagnostic platforms is highly desirableExperience working in regulated environments and familiarity with quality systems (e.g., ISO 13485)Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyClear and effective communication skills in English (mandatory).What we offer Meal voucher Health Insurance (conditional to your role) Bonus/Commission Referral Program Employee Assitance Program Our people are the heartbeat of everything we do.
