New Relic develops an intelligent observability platform that gives companies insight into complex systems and helps them optimize digital applications in an AI-first world.

Задачи:

- Own complex and ambiguous design problems across the platform scope from framing through detailed craft, end to end and without oversight.
- Design AI-native experiences with non-deterministic interfaces, unpredictable outputs, and coherent design principles and heuristics.
- Evolve design practices in AI-first, spec-driven workflows and define ways to evaluate software quality.
- Set the standard for documentation and traceability through clear specifications, references, and rationale.
- Act as a senior design judgment partner and product subject matter expert in Product and Engineering reviews.
- Deputize for the Design Director, shape strategic direction, and maintain the quality bar across the product.
- Strengthen the connection between product design and the Design System.
- Define systems and processes that can benefit others across the company.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to align on direction and maintain a healthy delivery cadence.
- Mentor designers and raise the overall level of craft across the team.

Требования:

- Extensive product design experience, including senior or lead work on complex software products.
- Portfolio demonstrating deep craft and systems thinking across product design and design systems.




- Recognized mastery of craft and experience raising collective quality standards.
- Track record of defining patterns, systems, or processes adopted by others.
- Ability to independently own ambiguous problems and drive them to real outcomes end to end.
- Comfort designing AI-native, non-deterministic experiences and evolving AI-first workflows.
- Sound judgment about where AI adds real value.
- Ability to act as a subject matter expert, shape priorities, lead useful research, and translate analysis into design decisions.
- Proven ability to influence Product and Engineering partners without formal authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Clear documentation of decisions, rationale, and references.
- Nice to have: experience designing services and platforms, especially in observability, developer tools, data, or complex B2B products.
- Technical background in modern software architecture.
- Experience with data visualization.
- Experience stewarding a design system at scale.
- Hands-on experience with spec-driven or AI-assisted design workflows.
- Comfort working in a distributed, cross-cultural team.
