An IPP is looking for a senior business development professional to support the company's growth strategy across existing and selected new European markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying, assessing and advancing growth opportunities in the renewable energy sector, with a particular focus on developing market-entry strategies, building investment theses, originating opportunities and establishing strategic relationships with local stakeholders.
This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, market knowledge and strong relationship-building capabilities. The idóneo candidate will have a deep understanding of renewable energy markets and be comfortable evaluating opportunities, challenging assumptions and presenting recommendations to senior management.
Develop and defend investment and market-entry theses based on regulatory, commercial, competitive and development considerations.
Monitor market dynamics, regulatory developments and industry trends to identify attractive opportunities and emerging markets.
Originate opportunities through local networks and strategic partnerships.
Evaluate renewable energy opportunities across solar PV, wind and BESS technologies.




Coordinate internal assessments with technical, legal, regulatory and financial teams.
Prepare business cases, market assessments and strategic recommendations for senior management.
Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities and market intelligence across target geographies. 8+ years of experience in business development, strategic growth, project development or related roles within the renewable energy sector.
Established network of relationships with developers and industry stakeholders in one or more European renewable energy markets.
Demonstrated ability to build and present investment or market-entry cases to senior decision-makers.
Strong commercial and strategic mindset.
Ability to assess opportunities from regulatory, development, commercial and investment perspectives.
Ability to work independently and drive initiatives across multiple geographies.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline.
Postgraduate education or relevant specialization is considered a plus.
Exceptional English and Spanish communication and presentation skills are essential.
