About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Freelance Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives for our clients. In this role, you will design and implement cutting-edge data science solutions, mentor junior data scientists, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making. You will work on predictive modeling, natural language processing, computer vision, and other high-impact projects to solve complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development of advanced analytics and machine learning solutions using Python, R, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Design, train, and optimize predictive models, clustering algorithms, and recommendation systems.
- Perform natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision tasks for text, image, or video data.
- Collaborate with C-level executives and business teams to identify and prioritize high-impact data science projects.
- Mentor junior data scientists and provide guidance on complex modeling challenges.
- Work with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Databricks) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to process and analyze large datasets.
- Ensure data integrity, reproducibility, and scalability in all models and analyses.
- Present data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership teams to support strategic decisions.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in AI, machine learning, and data science and recommend innovative solutions.

Experience

- 8+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role.
- Expertise in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and Python/R.
- Experience with predictive modeling, NLP, computer vision, or recommendation systems.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
- Experience with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proven track record of leading data science projects and mentoring teams.
- Familiarity with MLOps, model deployment, and productionizing models is a plus.

Languages

- Fluent in English (required for collaboration).
- Fluent in French or Dutch (required for client/stakeholder communication).
