CPTO / Technical Co-Founder — Cyber SentinelsRemote | Co-Founder Equity | Pre-Seed / Early Stage | Non-Salaried Initially

About Cyber SentinelsCYBERSENTINELS.com is building operational trust infrastructure for AI agents, humans and machine identities.

As autonomous AI systems gain the ability to access data, invoke APIs, make decisions and act on behalf of organisations, enterprises need more than identity verification.

They need to know

Who or what is acting? - Who authorised it? - What is it allowed to do?

Should this specific action be ALLOWED, BLOCKED or escalated?

And can that decision be independently evidenced and replayed afterwards?

Cyber Sentinels is being built to provide that trust and control layer.

Our platform combines agent and human identity, authority verification, policy-based decisioning, operational trust signals and tamper-evident evidence to help organisations govern AI-driven actions before and after they occur.

Core concepts include continuous operational trust, authority lineage, Trust Memory™, evidence receipts and Replay.

Cyber Sentinels has progressed beyond an idea. A V1 platform and API infrastructure have been built and deployed. The immediate challenge is to strengthen, validate and scale the technology into a production-grade product capable of supporting real enterprise integrations and customer deployments.

We are now looking for a CPTO / Technical Co-Founder to help lead that next stage.

The RoleThis is not a conventional salaried CPTO position.

It is a genuine technical co-founder opportunity for someone who wants meaningful ownership in an early-stage cybersecurity / AI infrastructure company and is prepared to work hands-on alongside the Founder.

You will take joint ownership of the product and technology direction of Cyber Sentinels and help turn the existing platform into a secure, scalable and commercially credible trust API.

Initially, that means being willing to work directly with the architecture and code—not simply managing an engineering team.

A core objective will be proving a complete production lifecycle:

Agent registers → authority is established → action is evaluated → ALLOW/BLOCK decision is returned → evidence is stored → decision can be Replay-ed and audited.

From there, you will help determine what Cyber Sentinels should build, what it should integrate, and what it deliberately should not build.

What You Will OwnYou will:

- Lead product and technology strategy alongside the Founder.
- Review and strengthen the existing V1 architecture, codebase and API.

- Own the technical roadmap from early production validation through enterprise scale.
- Build and validate the core operational trust and authorization lifecycle.
- Design secure APIs and integration patterns for AI agents, enterprise applications and machine identities.
- Develop the architecture behind policy evaluation, authority lineage, evidence generation, Replay and Trust Memory™.
- Establish engineering, testing, observability, security and release standards.
- Ensure that product claims are supported by demonstrable production evidence.
- Make pragmatic build-vs-buy decisions across identity, authentication, AI models, infrastructure and security services.
- Work directly with early customers and design partners to understand how autonomous agents are actually being deployed.
- Translate customer problems into product and technical priorities.
- Support technical conversations with enterprise customers, partners and investors.
- Help recruit and eventually lead the engineering and product organisation as the company grows.

Who We Are Looking ForYou do not need to match every requirement, but you should be technically strong enough to challenge architecture, make engineering decisions and personally contribute when necessary. We are particularly interested in experience across several of the following:
- CTO, CPTO, VP Engineering, Principal Engineer, Technical Founder or senior technical product leadership.
- Building and operating production APIs or developer infrastructure.
- Distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Identity, authentication, authorization, IAM or machine identity.
- Cybersecurity or security architecture.
- AI agents, LLM applications or agentic systems.
- Policy engines and runtime authorization.
- Audit trails, evidence systems or immutable/tamper-evident records.
- Cloud infrastructure and modern SaaS architecture.
- PostgreSQL and data architecture.
- TypeScript / JavaScript and modern web/API development.
- Secure API design, authentication, rate limiting and secrets management.
- Observability, automated testing, CI/CD and production reliability.

Experience with technologies such as Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Supabase and Vercel is useful, but architectural judgement and the ability to learn quickly are more important than experience with any particular stack. Product Thinking MattersThis is not purely an engineering position.

You should be comfortable asking difficult questions:

Does this actually work in production?

Can we prove it?

Does the customer genuinely need it?

Should we build it ourselves?

Can another provider do this better?

What is the smallest product that demonstrates meaningful value?

We value evidence over feature volume.

Commercial Thinking Matters TooAt this stage, the CPTO will participate directly in:

- Customer discovery
- Technical demonstrations
- Design-partner conversations
- Enterprise integrations
- Product positioning
- Partner discussions
- Investor technical diligence
- Early go-to-market strategy

You should be capable of explaining complex infrastructure simply and credibly to CISOs, CTOs, security teams, investors and non-technical stakeholders. The Co-Founder OpportunityThis role is initially non-salaried. Meaningful co-founder equity will be offered.

We want to be completely transparent about that from the beginning.

Cyber Sentinels is currently being built toward pre-seed investment and early commercial validation. Compensation will therefore initially be ownership rather than salary, with the intention of introducing market-appropriate compensation following sufficient funding or revenue.

The equity package will reflect experience, technical contribution, commitment and the level of responsibility taken within the company.

We are not looking for a consultant who wants to advise from the sidelines.

We are looking for someone who wants to build, challenge, own and help create the company.

What Success Looks LikeThe first phase is deliberately focused.

We want Cyber Sentinels to be able to demonstrate, with production evidence, that an organisation can integrate an AI agent or application with the Cyber Sentinels API and have the platform:

Identify it.

Establish its authority.

Evaluate its intended action.

ALLOW or BLOCK it.

Record why the decision was made.

Produce evidence.

Replay that decision later.

When we can repeatedly prove that lifecycle in production, we have something considerably more important than another AI security dashboard.

We have infrastructure enterprises can build on.

That is what we want our CPTO / Co-Founder to help us build.
