Experteer Overview
In this role you will own the hardware strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for OPSWAT’s security appliance portfolio, spanning market-driven requirements to mass production and end-of-life. You’ll bridge hardware, supply chain, software, and compliance to deliver differentiated, certifiable platforms at scale. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to translate strategy into tangible hardware platforms, balancing performance, cost, and regulatory demands. This is an impact-driven role at the intersection of security and hardware engineering, offering the chance to shape solutions for critical infrastructure and government customers.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Own multi-year hardware roadmap across the appliance portfolio, SKU strategy, form factors, performance tiers, refresh cadence, and platform consolidation
• Lead full NPI lifecycle (Concept → Proto → EVT → DVT → PVT → Mass Production) with gate criteria, schedule, and go/no-go decisions
• Manage end-to-end product lifecycle: GA, sustaining, EOS/EOL, last-time-buy, migration paths, field replacement
• Define and publish lifecycle policies (support windows, RMA terms, spare-parts SLAs)
• Own appliance Pu0026L levers: BOM cost targets, ASP, margin, attach rates,



refresh-driven revenue, inventory exposure
• Translate market and threat insights into hardware requirements (performance, ports, tamper resistance, secure boot, TPM/HSM, ruggedization)
• Perform competitive analysis and close hardware gaps; pilot emerging technologies (silicon, interfaces, AI acceleration, secure enclaves)
• Own design language and user experience: chassis, indicators, serviceability, deployment ergonomics
• Build business cases for new platforms: TAM/SAM, pricing, volumes, payback, risk

Responsabilidades
• 10+ years in product management, with at least 6 in hardware product management for networked/embedded appliances
• Deep understanding of the NPI process and gate model (Concept–Proto–EVT–DVT–PVT–MP)
• Strong commercial instincts: BOM cost, ASP, margin, inventory exposure as KPIs
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to brief executives and lead cross-functional reviews
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience leading multiple platforms from concept to mass production
