TheCore-studio is an international retail design and project delivery firm. We coordinate store rollouts and architectural delivery for integral brands across Europe. We are expanding our francophone project portfolio and are looking for a Retail Architect & Project Manager with 3 years of experience to lead delivery of retail projects in the Francophone markets from our Barcelona office.

What you'll do

- Lead project strategy & delivery: Own projects from feasibility and due diligence through design, permitting, and store opening across FR/BE/CH; make key calls on scope, timeline, and risk mitigation.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams: Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, and local contractors, including partners on the ground.
- Client & stakeholder management: Be the main point of contact for international brands operating in francophone markets; present status, negotiate scope changes, manage expectations.
- Navigate local regulatory context: Coordinate permitting and compliance across three regulatory environments (French ERP framework, Belgian regional codes, Swiss cantonal requirements) with local consultants.
- Technical & architectural oversight: Review and approve architectural and engineering deliverables; conduct plan checks; ensure quality and coordination across disciplines.
- Project controls: Build and own schedules, budgets, and workback plans; track milestones and KPIs; escalate risks early.
- Documentation & reporting: Maintain project records, lessons learned, and delivery documentation for rollout programs.

What we're looking for





- 3 years in retail project delivery, store rollouts, or architectural project management.
- French at professional level mandatory. You will negotiate, present, and produce written deliverables in French with senior clients and local authorities.
- English and Spanish is a plus for internal collaboration in our Barcelona team.
- Prior project experience in France, Belgium, or Switzerland (significant value). Familiarity with local permitting processes (ERP, cantonal permits, regional Belgian codes) is highly valued.
- Demonstrated ownership of multiple projects simultaneously, with experience leading teams.
- Strong technical foundation: you read drawings, understand construction/engineering sequences, and catch coordination issues early.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project; Excel.
- Proactive problem-solver.
- On-site construction or site supervision experience is a plus.
