In this Principal Engineer role, you lead Allstate’s Developer Experience program, shaping tools, platforms, and practices that accelerate secure software delivery. You’ll partner with engineering leaders to reduce friction, boost productivity, and ensure scalable, secure development. You drive AI-assisted development and modern engineering practices across globally distributed teams. This role combines technical leadership with people leadership to elevate engineering outcomes and enterprise standards.

• Advocate for engineers by gathering feedback and reducing friction to improve productivity
• Contribute to technical discussions, prototypes, automation, and platform improvements

Responsabilidades
• 12+ years of software engineering experience with leadership of engineering organizations or developer experience teams
• Hands-on software development experience with developer platforms, automation tools, and cloud-native tech
• Experience with GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted engineering tools, LLMs, and agentic development capabilities
• Strong understanding of end-to-end software development lifecycle and modern practices
• Ability to influence senior technical leaders and drive adoption of new technologies
• Experience presenting technical concepts and engaging engineering communities
