Technologies , we are selecting a Senior System Engineer to join a strategic modernization project based in Barcelona (Poblenou) . In this role, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and deploying the software platforms that will transform how global Datalink services are monitored, configured, and operated —modernizing legacy systems and defining the future architecture alongside international engineering teams across global infrastructure.

System Engineering: Drive the architecture, definition and design of next-generation Datalink Monitoring, Observability, Provisioning, and Configuration Management platforms. Enforce engineering quality through modern system definition, design practices, observability, and secure-by-design principles. Participate in technical reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, scalable, and supportable solutions.

Design provisioning and telemetry capabilities leveraging Kafka , Grafana Labs ecosystems (Alloy, Loki, Mimir, Prometheus), and Open Telemetry Protocol . Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, architects, product managers, and operations teams across Barcelona and Montreal. Solid background and understanding of C# and.





NET environments to effectively interface with software engineering teams and platform architecture.

Systems & Network Engineering: 10+ years of experience as a Senior System Engineer or equivalent technical role in complex software, networking, or platform environments.

Observability & Telemetry Stack: Strong hands-on experience with Grafana Labs tools (Alloy, Loki, Mimir/Prometheus, Grafana), Open Telemetry , and event-streaming technologies like Kafka. Proven experience in platform/network system integration, monitoring, configuration management, APIs, and distributed systems.

AI Tools: Proficiency in leveraging AI-powered tools for requirements management, static analysis, and documentation generation. Fluent / Very High level of English (C1+), to coordinate technical discussions in an international environment. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related engineering field.

Background in Aviation, Telecommunications, or Mission-Critical systems.

Contract options: Permanent Contract or Freelance, whichever you prefer.

Payroll / Permanent Contract: Up to 65,000€ gross annual salary / Freelance Rate: Around 400€ / day.

Work Model: Hybrid model (3 days in-office in Poblenou, Barcelona / 2 days remote).
