Research and Development Engineers (m/f) to work full-time, on-site, in Esplugues de Llobregat, Barcelona. Internship candidates are welcome too.
¿Assist in conducting research projects to develop new medical devices and improve existing products.
Design and execute experiments under the guidance of senior researchers.
Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data.
Prepare and present research findings to internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in all research activities
Maintain proper documentation and reporting of research activities.

The engineer conducts experiments and research studies, plans and executes testing protocols, analyzes results, and iterates designs to improve performance, safety, and reliability. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting technical findings, preparing reports and presentations,



and contributing to regulatory and quality-related activities. The role also involves staying current with scientific and engineering advances relevant to Aortyx’s solutions and applying them to ongoing projects.

Bachelor's degree in life sciences, engineering, or a related field.
Master's, PhD) is preferred.

Good knowledge of research methodologies and scientific principles.
Experience with CAD software (Solidworks or similar), and/or working in wet lab environments and/or executing mechanical bench testing.
Not required but welcome, work experience in the medical device industry, ideally in the cardiovascular field.
Knowledge of data analysis software and laboratory equipment.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Fluent Spanish and Professional English (C1) are required.
