Role Description This full-time Biology/Physics Teacher role follows the British curriculum and is a paternity leave cover, based on-site at Almuñécar International School in Almuñécar. The teaching will be for Years 10,11,12,13. The teacher will plan, deliver, and assess engaging Biology and Physics lessons for secondary students, ensuring alignment with relevant key stages and exam specifications.

Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, teaching classes, setting and marking homework and assessments, and providing clear feedback to support student progress. The teacher will manage classroom behaviour, differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs, and collaborate with colleagues to maintain high academic standards and a safe, inclusive learning environment. Additional duties include attending staff meetings, contributing to school events, and maintaining accurate records of student achievement and attendance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong subject knowledge in Physics and Biology Education.




- Candidates should possess effective Lesson Planning skills, including curriculum alignment and differentiated instruction.
- Candidates should possess solid Mathematics skills sufficient to support Physics and related scientific concepts.
- Candidates should possess proven Teaching skills, including classroom management, assessment, and student support.
- Relevant university degree in Physics, Biology, or a closely related scientific field.
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent) appropriate for the British curriculum.
- Experience teaching Biology and Physics in a British or international school setting is highly beneficial.
- Ability to create an inclusive, respectful classroom environment and work collaboratively within a multicultural school community.
- Strong communication skills in English and competence with basic educational technology and digital resources.
