Category Manager for IAS & Consulting - Professional Services – Global Procurement Organization.

This is a key integral role responsible for managing the procurement of services, serving Amazon's operations and internal customers (EPR and Installation & Assembly Services across different business units).

This global role manages significant spend of approximately $130M across 32 countries, covering all Amazon business lines. The Category Manager manages top suppliers and partners with key internal customers, with high visibility to the business units in scope and GPO Leadership.

Key job responsibilities The IAS - Consulting & Professional Services portfolio is complex and diversified, requiring close cooperation with multiple supplier types. The role plays an important part in optimizing OPEX spending by driving Cost Reduction and Cost Avoidance.

- Supporting and implementing the sourcing strategy for consulting and professional services, including direct sourcing from providers and specialized vendors.
- Drive Supplier sourcing, award, contracting and ongoing support until project delivery, while maintaining commercial relationships with suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving optimal cost and performance.
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers, contributing to process improvement and catalog optimization.
- Supporting Supply Chain Risk Assessments for professional services with newly awarded providers for greenfield sites or newly onboarded programs.
- Developing AI tools to optimize procurement activities for professional services.
- Monitoring supplier performance against KPIs and SLAs.

About the team

Global, innovative and business driven team. Basic Qualifications: - Experience defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics

- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining and executing program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in procurement
- Experience in program or project management

- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
