In this role you will lead HP's 3D Analytical Laboratory for MJF technologies, guiding material characterization, analytical testing, and data-driven decisions. You will manage daily lab operations, safety, and workflow while partnering with Ru0026amp;D and production teams to enable innovation and quality programs. You drive method development, equipment investments, and continuous improvement to maintain analytical excellence. This position offers impact across materials research, process development, and product quality initiatives.

• Lead day-to-day operation of polymer and metal analytical laboratories, ensuring compliance, equipment readiness, safety, and efficient workflows.
• Coordinate laboratory priorities with business, Ru0026D, and operations to deliver timely analytical results.
• Support technical staff, drive knowledge sharing, and foster best practices across the lab.
• Drive continuous improvement to expand capabilities, improve methods, and evaluate new equipment or technologies.
• Support laboratory roadmap planning and investment decisions for methodologies and capabilities.
• Lead analytical characterization of materials to support development, qualification,



and quality programs using physical, chemical, thermal, and microscopy techniques.
• Act as SME for characterization methodologies, equipment capabilities, and data interpretation.
• Ensure accuracy, reliability, and integrity of laboratory data and methodologies.
• Drive measurement system and quality process improvements.

Responsabilidades
• Bachelor or Master degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline, or commensurate experience.
• Typically 2–4 years of experience in chemistry practices, lab procedures, process improvement, or people management; or an advanced degree with limited work experience.
• Experience managing analytical laboratory operations, equipment, and workflows.
• Experience in experimental design, data analysis, technical reporting, and problem-solving investigations.
• Experience leading technical projects and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Preferred: experience with additive manufacturing technologies (MJF, Metal Jet, or related).
• Preferred: Six Sigma Certification.
