As a Senior Software Engineer on the Elasticsearch - Search Relevance team, you will shape the direction and implementation of high-performance search features. You’ll work with a globally distributed team to enhance relevance and speed, contribute to vector search capabilities, and tackle tough bugs and algorithmic challenges. You’ll engage with the open source community and collaborate across functions to deliver scalable, intuitive search experiences. This role offers impact at scale within a leader in AI-powered search and observability.

Responsabilidades
• Experience with vector similarity techniques at scale on search platforms
• Professional work with search or vector databases and algorithms (e.g., HNSW, IVF)
• Strong Java skills and familiarity with data structures, concurrency, and lambdas
• Ability to work autonomously and guide projects from design to delivery
• Experience with data stores like Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra
• Proven track record of using AI to accelerate development and optimize code
• Ability to collaborate across functions and work asynchronously in distributed teams
