Astera, a leading company in the film- and event lighting industry known for innovation and excellence, is on the lookout for an Area Manager to expand our business in South-West Europe as well as in Latin America.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our distributor network by developing markets, connecting with rental companies and users, and intensifying our partnership with local distributors.
Key Responsibilities
Manage around 8-10 existing distributors by maintaining regular communication, setting goals, actions, follow up, and evaluation of their performance.
Attend trade shows, organize and attend Open Days and visit customers to build relationships within the industry.
Research market trends in the region. Identify new markets and potential opportunities. Have a good overview of market status in all our market segments.
Organize seminars, workshops, etc. with Astera specialists and local people from the industry.
Report directly to the Head of Sales.
Remote position with business travel included.
Requirements




Minimum 3 years of sales experience with a focus on technical sales in event lighting, architainment lighting or similar.
In-depth knowledge of the film or event lighting industry. Candidates should have several years of hands-on experience in the field, or through previous roles with a distributor or manufacturer within the industry.
Can work autonomously with a good level of responsibility and independency.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in managing distribution networks
Knowledge of sales process and methods
Flexibility to travel (aprox 40%)
Team player
Commercial skills
Fluent in English and Spanish
Nice to have (Portuguese, Italian, French)
