Role Description The IB Chemistry Tutor (English C1/C2) will provide Part Time, on-site/Remote tutoring to IB students at our Madrid Alcobendas location. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons in IB Chemistry (Standard and Higher Level), offering targeted support in Chemistry topics, and helping students prepare for exams and Internal Assessments. The tutor will assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to different learning styles and needs.

Additional tasks include maintaining accurate student progress records,



collaborating with other tutors to align teaching approaches, and participating in occasional workshops or academic support sessions. The role requires clear communication in English at C1/C2 level to ensure high-quality instruction and guidance.

Qualifications

- Strong subject-matter expertise in, with solid understanding of the IB Chemistry curriculum.
- Ability to support students in related areas of Mathematics to reinforce chemistry concepts and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear explanation of complex topics and supportive, inclusive interaction with diverse learners.
- Experience with Online Tutoring or blended learning methods, even though this role is primarily on-site, to integrate digital tools effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field; IB teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
- English language proficiency at C1/C2 level; additional language skills are a plus.
- Must feel comforbale presenting in english.
- Ability to design lesson plans aligned with IB assessment criteria and to guide students in developing strong Internal Assessments.
- Organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced academic environment with diverse international students.
