As a CO+I Datacenter Engineering Design Manager, you guide the engineering scope, schedule, and budget for greenfield, brownfield, and retrofit datacenter projects across Spain and other EMEA sites. You will lead architectural and engineering designs, coordinate MS and external partners, and ensure delivery within roadmap constraints. The role emphasizes sustainable, scalable infrastructure that underpins Microsoft’s cloud services. You will drive cross-functional collaboration, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement in design practices.

• Manage internal and external resources for due diligence, permitting, shell/core engineering, and infrastructure design (power, cooling, telecoms, controls) aligned to capacity roadmap
• Support engineering procurement strategies, contract negotiations, and scope management to maximize project value
• Provide design management, technical direction, and leadership for datacenter architectural and engineering designs
• Oversee multiple concurrent design solutions, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule,



and budgets and manage MS consultants' deliverables
• Identify and mitigate design, permitting, constructability, and technical delivery risks; resolve cross-functional issues
• Drive continuous improvement via lessons learned, standardization, and best-practice adoption across regions and disciplines
• Engage with internal stakeholders and external vendors specializing in datacenter architecture and engineering

Responsabilidades
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Design Management, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Extensive experience delivering engineering and/or construction infrastructure projects, including large-scale environments
• Proven experience as lead engineer/architect/design manager or project manager on large-scale infrastructure projects
• Significant experience leading cross-functional and/or cross-team projects with technical and non-technical stakeholders
