Offer Description
Power Systems group announces a position as PostDoc to work on offshore energy hubs. The tasks to be carried out will be focused to modelling, control and management of tools to allow the development of offshore energy hubs. Additionally, experimental activities and set ups within IREC’s lab facilities are expected. This position is related to the VAIANA project from Generación de Conocimiento 2024 call of the Spanish Ministry.

Requirements
Research Field Engineering Education Level PhD or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or other relevant topics.
- Knowledge and experience on advanced modelling
- Proven hands‑on activities in advanced laboratories
- Expertise on power converter control, EVs, batteries, grid modelling and renewable energies
- Knowledge and experience with the any of the following software:
- Matlab
- Python,
- other

Preferred:
- Experience in collaborative and international projects
- Relevant publications on the topic
- Experience or Stages in international institutions
- Knowledge on Machine Learning, or other AI techniques
