For adesso Spain, we are looking for a skilledBackend Developer / DBAto join our international team and contribute to the development of a mission-critical data platform that processes millions of transactions and queries every day.
This position involves collaborating with international teams, including business trips to Germany every 3 months.
What You’ll Do:
- Optimize database performance through SQL tuning and database improvements.
- Design and implement backend solutions integrating Java applications and database systems.
- Maintain and upgrade Java and Spring Boot applications.
- Contribute to the evolution of a cloud-native platform running on AWS.
- Collaborate in the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

What We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience inJavaandSpring Bootdevelopment.
- Advanced knowledge ofSQLand relational databases, preferablyPostgreSQL/AWS Aurora.




- Experience optimizing database performance and writing complex SQL queries.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures andKafka.
- Experience working with cloud and DevOps technologies such asAWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and high-availability environments.
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Strong communication skills inEnglish; German is a plus.
