AI Tech Lead to join an international technology environment and contribute to the development of innovative, enterprise-level AI solutions.

This is a senior technical leadership role combining hands-on AI engineering, solution architecture and squad leadership . You will lead a cross-functional team of up to 6 engineers, define the technical direction of AI initiatives and oversee the delivery of scalable, production-ready solutions on

Microsoft Azure .

The role has a strong focus on

Generative AI and RAG architectures , with exposure to technologies such as

LLMs, speech-to-text, computer vision and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) .

The project

You will join an international AI program focused on designing, developing and deploying advanced AI solutions in a Microsoft cloud environment.

Working closely with Product Owners, Data Scientists, frontend developers and business teams, you will act as the technical reference for the AI squad , translating business needs into robust architectures and ensuring engineering quality throughout the entire solution lifecycle.

You will also help shape technical standards, identify opportunities to leverage emerging Generative AI technologies and support the continuous development of the engineering team.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate a cross-functional AI squad of up to 6 engineers , ensuring alignment on technical direction, priorities and delivery timelines.

Define and enforce technical standards, engineering best practices and architecture guidelines for AI solutions.

Design and oversee the development of scalable backend systems and APIs supporting AI applications on Azure.

Drive the design and implementation of

RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures and Generative AI solutions.

Lead the integration of advanced AI capabilities, including

LLMs, speech-to-text,



computer vision and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) .

Architect and validate cloud-native AI solutions using

Microsoft Azure services.

Work with technologies such as

Azure Functions, App Services, Cosmos DB, Azure Key Vault and Azure OpenAI .

Conduct code reviews and ensure high standards of software quality, maintainability and scalability.

Mentor engineers and support the technical upskilling and development of squad members .

Act as the technical interface between the AI squad and

Product Owners, Data Scientists, frontend developers and business stakeholders .

Define standards for monitoring, reliability, observability and high availability of production AI solutions.

Stay up to date with developments in

Generative AI, LLMs, RAG and prompt engineering , translating relevant innovations into actionable initiatives for the squad.

Requirements

Strong experience leading

AI engineering teams or technical squads and delivering end-to-end AI solutions.

Proven experience designing and deploying

AI solutions in cloud environments .

Strong knowledge of

Generative AI and RAG architectures .

Hands-on experience working with

LLMs and integrating them into production applications.

Strong backend engineering experience, including the design of scalable APIs and services .

Solid experience with

Microsoft Azure and cloud-native architectures.

Experience with services such as

Azure Functions, App Services, Cosmos DB, Azure Key Vault and Azure OpenAI .

Strong understanding of software architecture, engineering best practices and code quality standards .

Experience conducting code reviews, technical mentoring and engineering guidance .





Knowledge of monitoring, observability, reliability and high-availability principles .

Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and architecture decisions .

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Ability to combine technical leadership with a hands-on engineering mindset .

Nice to have

Experience with speech-to-text technologies .

Knowledge of computer vision solutions.

Experience with

Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) .

Strong knowledge of prompt engineering and LLM optimization techniques.

Experience evaluating and integrating emerging

Generative AI technologies and frameworks .

Experience working in international, cross-functional and collaborative environments.

A proactive mindset with the ability to identify technical improvements and drive innovation within an engineering squad.
