The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team based at Winneke Water Treatment Plant.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering planned, preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance services across the site. The role will also support the daily coordination of maintenance activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with client requirements.

Key responsibilities

- Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance work orders.
- Engage appropriate internal resources and specialist contractors.
- Communicate professionally with the client and relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate the day-to-day activities of employees and contractors on site.
- Use the in-house maintenance management system to receive, review, update and action maintenance requests.
- Ensure work orders are completed accurately and closed out within required timeframes.
- Monitor maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality and client requirements.
- Provide progress updates and escalate any risks, delays or operational issues.

Skills and experience

- Relevant Mechanical Fitter trade qualification.
- Previous experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial, utilities or facilities-management environment.
- Experience coordinating planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Strong customer-service and stakeholder-communication skills.




- Experience supervising or coordinating subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and specifications.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements, permits and isolation procedures.
- Strong fault-finding, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Experience using computerised maintenance management systems to manage and close out work orders.
- Sound computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and other business-based applications.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Current driver’s licence and relevant industry licences or competencies.
