Planeta Sana is looking for a creative, proactive and community-oriented volunteer to help us grow our digital community and communicate our mission through meaningful and engaging content.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys writing, storytelling, connecting with people and turning important ideas into clear, engaging and inspiring communication.

You will help us build and nurture Planeta Sana's online community while supporting the creation of written content that brings our mission to life.

This is not just a social media role. You will help shape how Planeta Sana sounds, communicates and connects with people.

About Planeta Sana

Planeta Sana is an international initiative focused on the connection between human health, environmental health and inclusion.

We believe that healthier and more sustainable choices should be easier to find, understand and access.

Our work focuses on topics such as:

- Sustainability & environmental health
- Health & well-being
- Accessibility & inclusion
- Responsible food systems
- Sustainable and local communities

We are currently rebuilding and expanding the initiative with a growing international volunteer team, with Barcelona as one of our initial focus areas. We are also working toward the creation of a future non-profit association. The association has not yet been formally established, which means volunteers joining at this stage have an opportunity to help shape the project's identity, community and future direction.

The Role

As a Community Manager & Copywriter Volunteer, you will play an important role in helping Planeta Sana communicate with the world.

Your work will combine two areas:

- Community Building

Helping us create conversations, engage with our audience and develop meaningful relationships with our growing community.
- Copywriting & Storytelling

Helping us translate ideas about health, sustainability and inclusion into clear, accessible and engaging content. You will have the opportunity to help define how we communicate, experiment with different content formats and contribute ideas that can directly influence our brand and community.

What You'll Do

Community Management

- Help manage and grow Planeta Sana's online community.
- Respond to comments, messages and community interactions in a timely and thoughtful way.
- Start conversations and encourage meaningful engagement.
- Identify relevant topics, discussions and questions within our community.
- Help welcome and connect new community members.
- Identify potential community ambassadors, collaborators and advocates.
- Support initiatives that encourage participation and community engagement.
- Repurpose existing Planeta Sana content into different formats and platforms.
- Help maintain a consistent and authentic tone of voice.




- Motivate the internal team to help you share, comment, like and create relevant content.

Copywriting & Content
- Research, edit, translate and / or post articles from a pool of already prioritised topics, using WordPress.
- Write and adapt engaging copy for social media, campaigns and digital communication.
- Help create captions, posts, stories, articles and other written content.
- Transform complex topics related to health, sustainability and inclusion into clear and accessible language.
- Support storytelling initiatives that communicate Planeta Sana's mission and impact.
- Help maintain a consistent, authentic and inclusive tone of voice.
- Adapt messaging for different audiences and platforms.
- Review and improve existing content when needed.

Content & Social Media
- Help develop content ideas and content calendars.
- Support the creation and scheduling of social media content.
- Collaborate with other volunteers and content contributors.
- Repurpose existing content into different formats and platforms.
- Identify trends and opportunities relevant to our audience while staying aligned with Planeta Sana's mission and values.

Learning & Improvement
- Monitor basic engagement and community metrics.
- Identify what content and conversations resonate most with our audience.
- Share insights and recommendations with the team.
- Help us test, learn and continuously improve our communication and community strategy.

Who We're Looking For

Essential

✔ Genuine interest in health, sustainability, inclusion and social impact

✔ Strong written communication skills

✔ Natural curiosity about people and communities

✔ Creative mindset and willingness to experiment

✔ Proactive and self-motivated

✔ Organized and reliable

✔ Team player: we are hoping to build a team of community managers and copywriters volunteers who could help each other bring the best for the project.

✔ Comfortable working independently and collaboratively

✔ Good judgment when interacting with online communities

✔ Intermediate English, Spanish and / or French, with strong written communication in at least one of these languages

Experience that would be a plus

Experience in any of the following areas is welcome, but not required:

- Community management
- Social media
- Content creation
- Digital marketing
- Copywriting
- Communications
- PR
- Influencer marketing
- Brand building
- Tools as Meta (to manage Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, WordPress

- French as we have a big community there.

You don't need to be an expert. We are looking for someone who is curious, proactive and genuinely interested in building communities.
