In this Director role you shape and lead Clinical Programming within the RWSu0026amp;A RWD Office to deliver high-quality, efficient programming that supports the Statistics group and evidence generation. You provide strategic and technical leadership across in-house and vendor workstreams, driving AI and automation initiatives and ensuring compliant, auditable outputs. You partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate study needs into executable plans and develop reusable standards and frameworks.
This position offers influence over portfolio direction, vendor strategy and capability building in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
- Set direction for Clinical Programming within the RWSu0026A RWD Office and shape the function's operating model and standards
- Act as senior Clinical Programming SME and escalation point for complex questions
- Oversee programming delivered by CROs and internal teams, ensuring timely, quality delivery
- Lead in-house programming activities including datasets, tables, listings, figures, and validation
- Lead AI and automation initiatives, serving as SME on AI workstreams and accelerating high-value use cases
- Promote and apply AI-enabled tools with validation, traceability, and compliance
- Make autonomous, risk-based decisions on strategy, resourcing, standards, and delivery
- Ensure deliverables are accurate, traceable, reproducible, audit-ready and standards-compliant
- Establish governance and quality controls across internal and external programming, managing risks
- Build partnerships with Statistics, Data Management, Data Science, Epidemiology, and Evidence Delivery
- Develop and implement programming standards, reusable solutions,
templates, and automation to improve scalability
- Provide strategic input to portfolio planning, capacity management, and vendor strategy
- Influence senior stakeholders with clear technical recommendations and pragmatic solutions
- Offer coaching and mentorship to junior programmers and contribute to capability-building
- Maintain up-to-date expertise in clinical programming, real-world evidence, AI, and regulatory expectations
Responsabilidades
- Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences or another relevant quantitative discipline
- Extensive industry experience in clinical or statistical programming with leadership of complex deliverables
- Advanced SAS programming with strong SAS macros
- Experience creating/validating SDTM and ADaM datasets and tables, listings, figures
- Deep knowledge of clinical and real-world evidence generation and analysis data flows
- Strong knowledge of data and reporting standards and fit-for-purpose xugodme implementations
- Experience leading AI, automation or digital workstreams and translating technology into business use
- Hands-on experience using AI-enabled tools for programming, validation, or workflow efficiency
- Experience overseeing CRO or external partner programming and accountability for quality and timelines
- Proven ability to lead in-house programming activities including planning, validation and documentation
- Autonomy in decision-making and ability to navigate complex or novel situations
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders
- Strong understanding of quality, traceability, reproducibility, audit readiness, and regulatory expectations
- Proven ability to develop people through coaching and mentorship
- Strong communication, collaboration, planning, prioritization and vendor-management skills
