Partner with machine-learning scientists and engineers to create scalable boundaries between models and production pricing systems.
Clarify service, API, configuration, and ownership boundaries across multiple platform teams.
Evaluate runtime and language choices, including Python, Kotlin, Rust, and Go.
Improve testing, observability, failure isolation, incident learning, and blast-radius reduction.
Lead company-wide technical discussions, communicate trade-offs, and build alignment across technical and business stakeholders.
Stay involved through design reviews, prototypes, debugging, and critical code while mentoring senior technical leaders.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, plus 8 or more years of software engineering experience.
Deep backend engineering experience and production proficiency in at least one of Python, Kotlin, or Java, with the ability to work in a predominantly Python environment.
Strong understanding of APIs, service-oriented or modular architectures, containerization,



cloud infrastructure such as AWS, and maintainable software design.
Experience mentoring senior engineers and expanding the effectiveness and scope of technical leaders.
Preferred experience partnering with machine-learning teams or productionizing models at scale.
Preferred experience modernizing mature or tightly coupled platforms through staged migration.
Preferred experience with AWS, Kubernetes, microservices, event-driven systems, and production observability.
Additional production experience with Rust or another performance-oriented language and exposure to quantitative domains are preferred.
Remote, digital-first work arrangement with employees generally able to work anywhere in the United States and regular team onsites, typically once or twice per quarter for 2–4 consecutive days.
