SENIOR MANAGER – INTERNAL AUDIT
JOB SUMMARY To provide strong support to the Chief Internal Auditor by leading and overseeing the planning and execution of a diverse and comprehensive program of risk-based Financial, Information Technology, Operational and Compliance audits, risk assurance and consulting engagements and special/fraud requests/investigations across the Company and its subsidiaries. This includes providing expert guidance on established governance, risk management, auditing and accounting frameworks/standards and overseeing a multi-disciplinary team in the planning and execution of comprehensive audits of TSTT’s extensive technology infrastructure, numerous financial policies, and other business processes.
To provide independent and objective assurance to the Board and Corporate Leadership Team of the effectiveness of TSTT’s governance, risk management and internal control processes and the impact of these on the achievement of the company’s strategic objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Annual Audit Planning
Contribute to the development of Internal Audit’s Annual Plan by directing the annual planning process based on enterprise risk assessments, knowledge of the business and past audit results for ultimate review and approval of the Chief Internal Auditor. and by advising the Chief Internal Auditor, Board and Management on emerging risks and signs of deteriorating risk culture.
- Performing Assurance Engagement
Increase the organization’s likelihood of achieving strategic objectives by providing the Board and Executive Management with independent assurance of the effectiveness of the Company’s governance, risk management and control processes through directing, overseeing, and managing the planning and execution of an extensive and diverse program of Financial, Information Technology, Operational and Compliance audit engagements across all LOBs of the Company in accordance with established international Internal Audit methodology and standards. Assess the adequacy of the Company’s ERM Framework by directing, overseeing, and managing the planning and execution of Financial, Operational, Information Technology and Compliance related Risk Assurance activities to ensure that a variety of key organizational risks across all LOBs are being effectively identified, reviewed, evaluated and appropriately managed, monitored and reported; and by advising the Board and Management on emerging risks and signs of deteriorating risk culture.
Expand audit coverage and scope, reduce audit cost and detect anomalies and potential errors and fraud by leading and directing continuous monitoring/auditing and data analytics initiatives within the Internal Audit department.
- Communicating Results
Recommend business improvements by reviewing and evaluating audit reports and associated recommendations submitted by senior internal auditors; identifying and addressing process and internal control deficiencies, as well as cost-saving and revenue generation opportunities; and ensuring that audit reports and recommendations are value-added, complete, accurate, and appropriately addresses the above-noted issues.
- Monitor Implementation
Provide assurance to Chief Internal Auditor, Executive Management, and the Board that audit recommendations are effectively implemented by designing, overseeing and driving the follow-up process with management on the status of risk assurance and audit recommendations; and by driving the implementation of recommendations and providing timely status updates to the Executive Management and the Board.
- Consulting Engagement
Increase the likelihood of achieving project/committee deliverables by providing consulting, assurance and advisory services for various high-level and complex organizational initiatives, projects and committees; guiding and overseeing consulting engagements being performed by senior internal auditors; providing expert advice to Executive Management on governance, risk and control systems necessary for the success of high-level and complex organizational initiatives,
projects and committees; providing assurance on the objectivity and transparency on the process used for key tender evaluations, promotional draws etc.; and promoting integration amongst various LOBs/departments, thereby reducing organizational silos.
Increase the effectiveness of key organizational policies and procedures by overseeing the review of key policies, procedures and processes by senior internal auditors; and reviewing high-level and complex organizational policies, procedures and processes to ensure that risks are mitigated, assets are safeguarded and business effectiveness and efficiency is improved.
- External Audit Direct Assistance
Reducing External Audit fees by directing and overseeing senior internal auditors in the performance of audit procedures conducted by on behalf of the External Auditor in the completion of the Company’s annual financial audit.
- Coaching and Mentoring
Improve individual competency and skills of internal audit by providing training, mentoring, coaching, and personal development support for senior internal auditors in accordance with the Company’s performance management system.
- Other
Improve individual competency and ethical behavior of company staff and the overall control and compliance culture by directing and/or executing a training and awareness program for Company staff in the areas of audit, fraud, ethics, and governance etc., and continuously promoting company ethics and good governance.
Contribute to the completion of packages for the audit finance and risk committee meetings by drafting reports, notes, presentations and updates on key audit initiatives for ultimate review and approval of the chief internal auditor.
Ensure that all work is done in accordance with established safety practices and procedures.
Perform such other related duties as may be assigned by the chief internal auditor, from time to time.

QUALIFICATION
- A degree in a relevant discipline (Finance, Accounting, IT, Management) and/or a relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, etc.;
- Professional Internal auditing, IT auditing and risk management certification such as CIA, CISA, CFE, CISSP, CGEIT, CRISC, CRMA, CFE etc.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is a mixture of office and field-based conditions.
QUALIFICATION
- A degree in a relevant discipline (Finance, Accounting, IT, Management) and/or a relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, etc.;
- Professional Internal auditing, IT auditing and risk management certification such as CIA, CISA, CFE, CISSP, CGEIT, CRISC, CRMA, CFE etc.
EXPERIENCE / TRAINING
- A minimum of six to eight (6-8) years extensive, diverse, and relevant internal auditing, IT auditing and risk assurance experience; with at least 5 years’ internal audit management experience.
- Expert Knowledge of:
- IIA’s International Professional Practices Framework.
- Risk Management and Control frameworks and accounting standards and practices (e.g., COSO, COSO ERM, COBIT, IAS, GAAP, ISO, NIST, ITIL etc).
- Internal Audit and Risk Management Software applications.
- Relevant policies and Telecommunication laws and regulations.
- General technology concepts, systems, applications, and databases.
- The ability to:
- Perform Data analytics utilizing tools such as ACL, IDEA, etc.
- Complete audit work utilizing Internal Audit and Risk Management Software applications.
- Interrogate Enterprise and Billing Applications
- Proficiently in Microsoft Office suite.
