From Oxigent Technologies , we are selecting a Senior System Engineer to join a strategic modernization project based in Barcelona (Poblenou) .

In this role, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and deploying the software platforms that will transform how general Datalink services are monitored, configured, and operated — modernizing legacy systems and defining the future architecture alongside international engineering teams across global infrastructure.

What will your main responsibilities be?

System Engineering:

- Drive the architecture, definition and design of next-generation Datalink Monitoring, Observability, Provisioning, and Configuration Management platforms.
- Enforce engineering quality through modern system definition, design practices, observability, and secure-by-design principles.
- Participate in technical reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable, scalable, and supportable solutions.

Platform Modernization:

- Contribute to the modernization of legacy assets while supporting operational continuity.
- Design provisioning and telemetry capabilities leveraging Kafka , Grafana Labs ecosystems (Alloy, Loki, Mimir, Prometheus), and OpenTelemetry Protocol .
- Ensure proposed solutions are resilient, scalable, and production-ready for long-term platform evolution.
- Leverage state-of-the-art AI-powered tools to increase productivity in system definition, documentation, and requirements management.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

- Work closely with software engineers, architects, product managers, and operations teams across Barcelona and Montreal.
- Guide and align with the development team , contributing to technical strategy and long-term platform evolution.





What will you need to succeed?

- Key Technical Background: Solid background and understanding of C# and .NET environments to effectively interface with software engineering teams and platform architecture.
- Systems & Network Engineering: 10+ years of experience as a Senior System Engineer or equivalent technical role in complex software, networking, or platform environments.
- Observability & Telemetry Stack: Strong hands-on experience with Grafana Labs tools (Alloy, Loki, Mimir/Prometheus, Grafana), OpenTelemetry , and event-streaming technologies like Kafka.
- Integration & Microservices: Proven experience in platform/network system integration, monitoring, configuration management, APIs, and distributed systems.
- AI Tools: Proficiency in leveraging AI-powered tools for requirements management, static analysis, and documentation generation.
- Languages: Fluent / Very High level of English (C1+), to coordinate technical discussions in an international environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related engineering field.
- Nice to Have: Background in Aviation, Telecommunications, or Mission-Critical systems.
