NoOffer DescriptionThe Concrete, Sustainability and Smart Structures ( ) group at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC BarcelonaTech) is seeking candidates to apply for anFPU 2026 predoctoral fellowship.C3S works at the intersection of construction and digitalization: optimization of construction processes, new and alternative cementitious materials, sensor-based monitoring of concrete performance, and sustainability assessment of infrastructure. The group is involved in national projects and in large-scale European projects,



working with both academic and industrial partners in Barcelona.What we are looking for:The selected candidate will develop their thesis within one of the following four research lines:Early-age microcracking: monitoring and sensor developmentAI-driven management of sustainable concreteDigital twins of construction sites and information managementMathematical models for infrastructure impact and infrastructure economicsYou must be able to identify yourself with aSpanish DNI, aNIE with IXESP number (physical TIE card), or aNIE with an EU citizen registration certificate. A NIE number without a physical card is not accepted.If you do not already hold one of these, please do not apply to this call.MSc completed, or currently enrolled in an official master's giving access to a doctoral programme.
