PhD in analytical chemistry, mass spectrometry, metabolomics, or a closely related discipline.
Hands-on experience with mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) technologies. - Tissue sectioning and clinical sample handling.
Knowledge of metabolomics workflows and experimental design.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in MSI data analysis using R, Python, MATLAB, or similar platforms.
Histological image registration and image analysis
Specific Requirements
We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join Metabolomics Interdisciplinary Laboratory team ( ).
The successful candidate will contribute to the development and application of cutting-edge mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) technologies for spatial metabolomics, with a focus on understanding tissue metabolism in health and disease. The position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art MSI instrumentation (MALDI-MSI, DESI-MSI), advanced computational tools, and collaborative biomedical research projects involving clinicians, biologists, and data scientists.
TASKS:
Development and optimization of MSI workflows for spatial metabolomics (sample preparation / matrix deposition).
Method development for quantitative and high-throughput MSI (MALDI-MSI, DESI-MSI) in biomedical applications.
High-resolution spatial mapping of metabolites, lipids, and small molecules.
Multimodal integration with histology, and spatial transcriptomics.
Data processing, statistical analysis, and biological interpretation of imaging datasets.
Collaborate with biomedical teams on clinical applications.
Present research findings at conferences and publish in high-impact journals.
Contribute to grant proposals and collaborative research initiatives.
Assist in mentoring junior researchers and students.
