As Global Medical Affairs Leader/Sr. Leader, you shape the medical strategy for vaccines in infectious diseases and drive cross‑functional medical activities globally. You will lead the GMT, align regional plans with global objectives, and engage KEEs and scientific forums to advance clinical practice. This role blends strategic leadership with hands‑on medical execution to influence product launches and medical evidence plans. You will operate at the intersection of science and strategy to impact patient care at scale.

• Design and implement the Medical BioPharmaceuticals product strategy globally and regionally
• Set strategic direction, resource planning, and lead the team for the product in collaboration with the Global Medical Head
• Lead the Global Medical Team to ensure global strategy is communicated and adapted regionally
• Foster cross-functional collaboration across Medical BioPharmaceuticals, Strategy u0026 Operations, Medical Evidence, and General Product Team
• Track medical developments in the Therapeutic Area and translate them into new plans




• Deliver medical plans to drive successful launches of vaccines and other medicines
• Support TA Global Product Team and Global Brand Team leadership
• Engage global KEEs for advisory boards and insights into unmet patient needs
• Represent AZ at scientific and medical forums and symposia
• Coordinate Medical Affairs activities including Science Advisory boards
• Align publication and medical evidence plans with Medical Strategy and Medical Plan
• Develop and maintain the brand Integrated Evidence Plan
• Oversee development and accuracy of medical promotional materials prior to GMQA approval
Responsabilidades
• Doctorate (MD, xqbhyrx PhD or PharmD or equivalent)
• Strong expertise in Infectious Diseases (including persistent viral and bacterial infections)
• Experience in global Medical Affairs or equivalent, with cross-functional collaboration
• Strong technical knowledge and strategic/medical leadership experience
• Proven ability to engage with global leaders in vaccinology, respiratory medicine, and infectious diseases, including KEEs and professional societies
• Ability to switch between high-level strategy and detailed tactics
• High ethical standards and integrity
