As a Backend-focused Software Engineer on Liferay’s Frontend Infrastructure team, you design and optimize the backbone of our frontend ecosystem, bridging core backend systems with client-facing frameworks. You build and refine backend frameworks, tools, and delivery pipelines that power data rendering, content editing, and secure, high-performance experiences. You collaborate with UX and Product to implement a shared vision, shaping scalable solutions used by thousands of developers and users globally. This role offers impact through open source culture, international collaboration, and meaningful product foundations.

• Design and implement backend frameworks and delivery pipelines powering the frontend ecosystem
• Build tools and infrastructure for data rendering, content editing, caching, performance, and security
• Collaborate with UX Designers and Product Managers to realize shared vision

• Participate in peer reviews and contribute to a collaborative learning culture
• Utilize Git and GitHub daily (branches, merges, PRs, rebases)
• Work as a full-stack engineer with strong backend focus to enable frontend consumption of services
Responsabilidades
• +3 years of software engineering experience with best practices
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Agile development experience
• Proficient in Java, JavaScript (React), Freemarker, SQL
• Git proficiency and DVCS experience (git-flow, PRs, rebases)
• Experience xqbhyrx writing enterprise-level code in one or more programming languages
• Strong learning mindset and ability to learn new skills
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
• Good communication skills for explaining complex topics
