In this role you lead the global safety strategy for oncology assets, aligning with TA and asset strategy to ensure ethical, scientific safety across the product lifecycle. You guide safety input into development plans, regulatory interactions, and risk management, working within a global, matrix organization. You shape safety governance, build high-performing teams, and influence senior leaders to deliver proactive, data-driven safety solutions. This position offers impact across clinical development and lifecycle management within a leading biopharma environment.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Lead the project-specific safety strategy and contribute to asset strategy
• Manage global safety program leaders and safety physicians/scientists as needed
• Ensure patient safety quality and regulatory compliance across activities
• Deliver staffing, resources, and capability planning for global safety
• Act as safety representative in governance forums (DRC, eCRC, SARB, FSIRB, DSMB/DMC, MARC)
• Provide strategic safety input for TPP, TPC, CDP, and core labeling
• Oversee risk management, including toxicity, and Safety Information Review Committee (SIRC)



Chair duties
• Represent safety in in-licensing evaluations and global product safety positioning
• Coordinate with cross-functional leaders to influence portfolio development and safety decisions
• Ensure compliance with SHE standards and other regulations
• Travel as required to fulfill duties
• Lead at governance level for safety in Franchise Team and GPT
Responsabilidades
• Medical degree or equivalent in biomedicine or science
• Minimum 8 years of relevant clinical, safety and risk management experience
• Direct experience with general regulatory filings and interactions xqbhyrx with major regulatory agencies
• Knowledge of pharmacovigilance legislation and GxP requirements
• Strong track record in clinical safety delivery and portfolio influence
• Ability to navigate a matrixed organization and influence senior leaders
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and judgment
• Proven leadership, coaching, and mentorship of safety teams
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience with US/EU safety regulations pre- and post-marketing
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
