NEW IDEA is an international fashion company headquartered in Shaoxing, China, with a design office in Barcelona. We develop womenswear collections for international clients, combining market insight, trend awareness, product quality and commercial relevance.

THE ROLE We are looking for a Fashion Designer focused on creativity and product development. You will work across trend research, collection planning, style design, fabric selection and sample follow-up, turning creative ideas into strong and commercially relevant womenswear products. This is a design-focused position and does not include sales responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Research international womenswear trends and translate them into relevant design ideas. • Develop seasonal concepts, colours, fabrics and individual styles according to collection needs. • Create technical sketches and clear design information for product development. • Work closely with fabric, pattern-making and sample teams to develop and improve samples. • Follow fittings and revisions, solving issues related to fit, construction, fabric and details. • Balance creativity, wearability, cost, quality and production feasibility. • Participate in European market research, store visits, fabric sourcing and professional trade fairs.





REQUIREMENTS • 3+ years of womenswear or fast-fashion design experience; experience with Inditex, Mango or comparable brands is highly valued. • Experience in woven womenswear is preferred, but not essential. • Strong design thinking, aesthetic judgement and product-development skills. • Good understanding of fabrics, fit, construction and the sample-development process. • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator; strong sketching and presentation skills are valued. • English suitable for daily work and international team collaboration; Spanish is a plus. • Detail-oriented, organised and comfortable working in a multicultural environment.
