The Finance Business Partner role:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a FinanceBusiness Partner working with our Property Services Repairs Team (PSRT).

Within this role you will work closely with the FinanceManager in the provision of financial services including budget preparation,budget monitoring, closing of accounts, preparation of statutory accounts andannual financial statements.

You will provide accurate and timely financial information to the Head ofFinance & Performance, members of EMT/ SMT and the Council.

Key duties and responsibilities of our Finance Business Partner:

- To assist the FinanceBusiness Partners and Finance Manager with the production of service budgetmonitoring in accordance with approved standards and guidance.
- Liaison with PropertyServices Repairs Team budget holders to review budgets and prepare monthly financialoutturn forecasts to feed into the monthly management accounts.
- Identifyingand raising queries to the Finance Business Partner or Commercial Manager ona timely basis.Provision offinancial information to feed into the preparation of annual budgets.
- Maintenance of ourfinancial system (SAP) – including raising invoices on a timely basis toensure cashflow is maximised and journal transactions by strict deadlines.




- Implementation ofclosedown procedures including accounts reconciliation, accruals, intracompany recharges and providing information for external audit.Provision andanalysis of information required in the final accounts report.

What we’re looking for in our Finance Business Partner:

- 5 GCSE’s includingEnglish and Maths (Grade A-C, 5-9) or equivalent
- Association ofAccounting Technicians (AAT)
- Level 4 qualificationExperience of working in a similar role
- Enthusiastic and effective teamworker with the ability to develop good working relationships
- Ability to work effectively underpressure, and to tight deadlines
