We're a general team of 180+ builders at the rare inflection point where a category leader becomes a category-defining platform. We are looking for a hands-on Engineering Lead to help build and scale high-performance backend systems powering global products and platforms.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong engineering depth with technical leadership experience — someone who enjoys solving complex distributed systems challenges while mentoring engineers and driving engineering excellence across teams.

Lead the architecture, development, and evolution of scalable backend services and distributed systems
Drive technical decision-making, architecture standards, and engineering best practices
Collaborate closely with Product, Infrastructure, DevOps, and cross-functional engineering teams
Help establish a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, pragmatism, and continuous improvement

8+ years of software engineering experience




~3+ years of experience as a Tech Lead or engineering team lead
~ Strong hands-on experience in Java or Go backend engineering
~ Solid software engineering fundamentals and code design capabilities
~ Experience with mainstream backend technologies and frameworks including:
~ Spring Boot
~ Spring Cloud
~ Strong computer science fundamentals, including:
Data structures
Database, Messaging & Infrastructure
Strong experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
SQL optimization
Database sharding and partitioning
Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
Familiar with AWS ecosystem and cloud-native infrastructure
Experience with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes

Engineering & Delivery
Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
Professional working proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese
Frontend experience with React, Electron, TypeScript
Experience in high-growth startups or international engineering organizations
Experience working in highly distributed or remote-first teams
