I'm working with an innovative biotechnology organisation that is expanding its data science and quantitative development capabilities. They are seeking an experienced Biomarker Statistics Lead to play a key role in shaping biomarker strategies across a growing development portfolio.
This is a strategic role at the intersection of biomarker science, clinical development, and quantitative decision-making. You'll work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure biomarker data is effectively leveraged to inform development strategy, strengthen evidence generation, and support critical portfolio decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the statistical strategy for biomarkers across clinical and translational development programmes.
- Develop quantitative approaches that address key scientific, clinical, and development questions.
- Partner with clinical, translational, biomarker, and data science teams to optimise study design and evidence generation strategies.
- Integrate biomarker and clinical datasets to generate programme-level insights and support informed decision-making.
- Provide statistical leadership on biomarker qualification, validation, and regulatory readiness activities.
- Promote best practices in reproducible research, data integrity,
and robust analytical methodologies.
- Act as a subject matter expert in governance discussions and cross-functional strategic initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Advanced degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Significant industry experience supporting clinical development programmes within biotech or pharmaceutical environments.
- Strong knowledge of statistical methodologies applied to clinical and biomarker data.
- Experience working with predictive, prognostic, pharmacodynamic, or patient stratification biomarkers.
- Ability to translate complex analyses into clear recommendations for scientific and business stakeholders.
- Proficiency with R and modern reproducible analysis workflows.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
