Field Service Coordinator / Werkvoorbereider

The opportunity

We are looking for a Field Service Coordinator / Werkvoorbereider to support field service activities from our Zaventem location.

In this role, you will act as the key link between customers, Field Service Engineers and internal departments, ensuring that service, maintenance and troubleshooting activities are properly planned, prepared and executed.

You will work in a technical environment involving electrical and high-voltage equipment, where safety, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency are essential.

Your responsibilities

- Plan and coordinate service, maintenance and troubleshooting interventions
- Schedule Field Service Engineers according to customer needs, technical priorities and availability
- Prepare interventions in advance, ensuring that the required documentation, equipment, materials and resources are available
- Act as the main point of contact between customers, technicians and internal teams
- Monitor the progress of ongoing interventions and ensure commitments and deadlines are respected
- Manage urgent requests and reorganise schedules when priorities change
- Coordinate with internal departments such as project management, order management, procurement and invoicing
- Follow up on technical and administrative actions after interventions
- Support the preparation and follow-up of service reports
- Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure clear communication throughout the service process
- Ensure that activities are performed in accordance with applicable quality and safety standards




- Contribute to continuous improvement of service planning and operational processes

Your profile

- Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics or a related technical discipline
- Previous experience in Field Service coordination, work preparation, maintenance coordination or technical planning
- Experience within an industrial, electrical, energy or technical service environment is strongly preferred
- Good understanding of electrical equipment and technical interventions
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Able to manage several priorities and react quickly to urgent situations
- Customer-oriented and comfortable communicating with technicians, customers and internal stakeholders
- Proactive, accurate and solution-oriented
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Experience with SAP, Salesforce or another ERP/service management system would be an advantage
- Driving licence and willingness to occasionally travel if required

Languages

For the Zaventem position, I would recommend defining the exact language requirement with the client. English will likely be important in the international environment, while Dutch and/or French can be positioned according to the local customer scope.
