Amentum is seeking a Heavy Truck Driver to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The Heavy Truck Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating earthmoving and construction equipment to support project operations. This position performs a variety of equipment operation, inspection, maintenance, material movement, and site support activities while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with company and contract requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy earthmoving and construction equipment in a safe, efficient, and effective manner while minimizing the risk of injury, property damage, equipment damage, or loss of life.
- Operate equipment such as, but not limited to:
- Motor graders
- Front end loaders
- Backhoes
- Excavators
- Vibratory rollers
- Tractors
- Skid steers
- Track loaders
- Other earthmoving or construction equipment as assigned
- Perform equipment operations in accordance with established project specifications, operating procedures, manufacturer recommendations,



and safety requirements.
- Conduct pre operation and post operation inspections to identify equipment defects, safety concerns, fluid leaks, damage, or other conditions that may affect safe operation.
- Perform daily safety and operational checks to ensure assigned equipment is in safe working condition before use.
- Report equipment deficiencies, maintenance requirements, damage, and unsafe conditions promptly to the appropriate supervisor or maintenance personnel.
- Perform basic operator level preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, fluid checks, and other routine maintenance activities as authorized.
- Ensure equipment is properly utilized, maintained, secured, and stored when not in operation.
- Safely move, load, position, grade, excavate, or otherwise manipulate soil, materials, debris, and other items as required by the assignment.
