Position Overview
The Department of Kinesiology is seeking to fill multiple areas within the program of Exercise Science. The Assistant Professor will predominantly teach undergraduate and graduate courses to students in Exercise Science, Physical Education, Sport Administration, and Sport and Performance Psychology. The faculty member will also partake in scholarly activity at the R2 level, seek external funding, serve on committees of all levels, provide academic advising, chair or serve on thesis committees, and maintain collaborative relationships within and outside the department, including community outreach.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Kinesiology, focusing on clinical exercise physiology and/or cardiovascular physiology and/or functional anatomy.





Conduct research at an R2 level and seek external funding opportunities.

Serve on faculty governance committees and contribute to departmental and university service.

Advise students and chair or serve on thesis committees.

Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external research partners.

Qualifications
Required Education

Terminal doctoral degree in Kinesiology or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

Applicants nearing completion of the doctorate (ABD) may be considered, but the doctoral degree must be completed by August 1, 2027.

Required Experience

College‑level teaching in academic areas directly related to Kinesiology, preferably with an emphasis in clinical exercise physiology and/or cardiovascular physiology and/or functional anatomy.

Experience in scholarly activities.
